Below is a live look at potential seedings for Western New England Championship play. With our Saylor System any and every game in the league will impact the results below.
***Kimball Union Academy currently cannot qualify for the Overall Championship because they do not meet the minimum requirement of 10 games played against Western New England schools.
Playoffs – 2026 Dates: Friday, May 15; Saturday, May 16; Sunday, May 17
Eligibility: Schools must have scheduled at least 8 games against WNEPSGSBA opponents and paid their league dues. Rain-outs or other cancellations do count as scheduled games; however each team must play a minimum of six games to qualify for the playoffs and for the League Championship, play a minimum of 10 games.
Seedings: The four top schools (regardless of school size) with the highest Saylor Point Average column will participate in the League Championship tournament. The remaining top four schools in the Division A and Division B (based upon Saylor Point Average) will participate in their respective brackets.
If the 5th place team is within 5 points of the 4th place team, a play-in game will occur the Friday before the tournament. The 4th seed will host this game. Schools are responsible for the cost of umpires. There will NOT be a 5 seed for the League Championship tournament.
Otherwise, the semi-finals are on Saturday with championship games at the better seed on Sunday.
There will be a playoff committee consisting of the league scorekeeper, commissioner and another board member, who are not a part of the playoff picture, and may make adjustments for the seedings only. These adjustments must adhere to a margin of no more than a 5-point difference in the Saylor average and would not affect team placements within the League, Division A, or Division B brackets. Regarding seedings, adjustments would be based on head-to-head results or winning percentage, with changes allowed only within one position of one another.
*In the above outlook if a team is designated with ** (two asterisk’s) they are holding the higher seed due to a head to head tie-breaker win. They must be within 5 sailor points for the tie-breaker to be in enabled.
